Dr Christine Lloyd
Christine is now a retired GP. She became unwell with a virus in February 2010 and did not recover as expected. She was diagnosed with ME/CFS after several months of medical investigations. The turning point in her recovery was after finding Salus Fatigue Foundation and attending regular support groups. Through the knowledge gained she recovered sufficiently to return to part time work in February 2011. Having experienced first hand the wealth of wellbeing knowledge and support that Salus has on offer she is delighted continue to be involved on the board of trustees.
Gill worked as a GP for 27 years and was involved in the appraisal of other doctors and the training of GP’s. In trying to help patients with CFS and ME, she realised how difficult it is to access the NHS services for both these and other causes of persistent fatigue and how it took too many months to access these services. Searching for ways to support patients, Gill witnessed first-hand what excellent guidance Salus can provide! Having now retired, she is now eager to be involved in the administration for Salus. There will certainly be a continuing, and possibly growing, need for their services in the future.
