Faced by a threatening situation or difficult task, the body enters into fight or flight mode – a state of stress causing physical changes designed to help you cope. These include accelerated heartbeat, tense muscles, quicker breathing, increased perspiration. It also causes anxiety and can make people feel low, worried and unable to cope. If prolonged, this can weaken your immune system.
At April’s Solihull Support Group on Wednesday 18th April 11am – 12.30pm at Solihull Methodist Church we look at strategies on how to identify the symptoms of stress, understand what is causing it and find ways to understand, manage or overcome it to achieve overall wellbeing.
Our Support Groups are for people living with chronic fatigue and their friends, families and carers. No need to book – just turn up.
