woodsBelow are links to some free activities in the Birmingham area which have been suggested by people who use Salus and which you might find helpful or enjoyable.

PLEASE NOTE: These groups have not been visited by the team at Salus and therefore are not directly endorsed by us. Do let us know of any experiences you have with these or other groups.

Please remember to take things gently. Salus runs regular sessions on Pacing which you might find useful.

Walks

The Birmingham Ranger Service lead a variety of walks and other activities in parks and outdoor spaces in Birmingham.

Includes Talking Walks (a gentle stroll around the park looking at the changing seasons and chatting) and Walking Meditation (Introduction to walking meditation as a way to relax, meet people, enjoy the park and increase self- awareness. Involves silent walking, helpful literature and some discussion time)

Sometimes simply sitting quietly in a beautiful and peaceful space can calm your mind and bring a feeling of refreshment as well as topping up your Vitamin D levels.

There is an amazing variety of parks, gardens, nature conservation areas and other outdoor spaces in and around Birmingham and Solihull.
